Many clinics are drop-in based, so there is no commitment beyond one class. Intro to Tennis clinics are encouraged to attend for the full session because different skills are taught each week. Match Plays are session-based so that match rosters can be maintained.
See Court Reserve calendar for current class schedule. -

If you are unsure about which level of play, we encourage you to start at a lower level. It is always a better experience to move up a level instead of down.
Juniors will be assessed during their first clinic to ensure proper placement for growth and development.
You can also start with a private lesson to be evaluated by one of our coaches before signing up.
-
Practice matches are a key part of improving your game. We encourage all students—juniors and adults—to join our in-house match play programs. These matches let you apply the strategies you're learning in a low-pressure setting that won’t affect your USTA ranking, rating, or school team position. The more match experience you get, the more confident and relaxed you’ll feel during real competition.

Yes, clinics are held year-round on open-air courts, and you are exposed to the elements, but we enjoy teaching during all four seasons. Times are adjusted based on time of year, but you can get started anytime.

How Things Work
-
Players should head to the tennis court 5 minutes prior to private lessons or clinics to check in with a teaching professional.
-
We expect clients to bring a racquet to lessons or clinics. We provide all other equipment for our programs.
Please let us know in advance if you need a racquet—we are happy to provide one.
Our staff can also make recommendations about which racquet is right for you or your child.
-
If you signed up for a class, you will get a notification when it is cancelled. This notice will be sent at least one hour ahead of time, weather dependent. You will never lose a class registration when it’s cancelled because of weather – credit stays in your account.
-
If you cancel within 4 hours of a clinic, or within 24 hours of a private lesson, you forfeit your payment. If before that time, the credit stays in your account. If a clinic has fewer than 2 participants, it will automatically be cancelled 4 hours before it begins.
General Curiosities
-
When planning your practice sessions, mix up the skill levels of your opponents. Divide your practice time so that one-third is spent with players at your level, one-third with those who are still developing, and one-third with more experienced competitors. This balanced approach will help you refine your techniques, embrace challenges, and continuously learn new strategies.

All coaches have full background screenings per USTA Safe Play Certification standards as a requirement of employment.

The United States Tennis Association league play is the country’s largest recreational league with more than 300,000 players nationwide competing on teams, meeting new people, and staying physically active. Match play is based on the NTRP rating system so you will play with and against players of similar ability levels. Whether new to the game or a former player, there’s a spot for you!

Not sure what level of player you are? Click HERE for a description of the levels, or ask one of our coaches. Players can also self-rate via a questionnaire once they become a USTA member.
